History & origin
The Magagula are an Emakhandzambili clan of Eswatini — among the peoples already settled in the region when the Dlamini-led Swazi founders arrived. Tradition links them with the Mthombeni (Mtfombeni) name, regarded as effectively the same lineage, and recalls a migration into present-day Eswatini under a leader named Sibuyane, with associations back toward the Zulu/South African interior. The clan is common among Swazi and Zulu communities of the Mpumalanga–Eswatini border, where Swazi and Ndebele populations overlap.
