Nkadimeng Clan — History & Meaning
Pedi clan · Sepedi
History & origin
Nkadimeng is a Bapedi/Northern Sotho surname and clan name from the Sekhukhune region of Limpopo. It is widely known through the family of John Nkadimeng (1927-2020), the South African trade unionist and ANC/SACP veteran from Sekhukhuneland, which firmly locates the name in the Pedi heartland. Beyond this regional and lineage association I do not have reliably documented totem or detailed origin-migration tradition specific to the Nkadimeng clan, so I do not assert a totem.
