History & origin
The Ntlangwini (amaNtlangwini) are an Nguni clan of Mbo/Embo origin connected to the broader Dlamini-derived groups. During the Mfecane they were among the groups that moved south, and they settled in parts of the southern former Transkei region (around present-day southern KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape, including areas near Mzimkhulu and Matatiele). They are often counted among the clans associated with the Bhaca and Mfengu movements of the period.
